| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2008 12oz bottle from Party Pak Liquors (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a cloudy dark yellow with thin white head. Little head retention or lacing. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of honey, wet hay, spice. Flavor is similar with more prominent spice, wheat, and coriander notes. Initially, this beer reminds us of Hoegaarden, but as it warms, it takes on a sweetness that is more suggestive of a tripel style ale. Regardless, a nice exemplar of the German hefe style. Generally light to medium body with a crisp finish. Magicdave6 (5554), London, Greater London, England
