Commercial Description:
Warhawk Pale Ale is the best pale ale I've ever tasted. It is a truly "drinkable" pale ale. Warhawk Pale Ale is an American-Style Pale Ale, which means that it has assertive American hop character. You can really taste the Cascade hops. But what makes this a "drinkable" pale ale is the malt. We use premium 2-row malt and 3 specialty malts to give this beer the full malt complexity required to balance a "hoppy" beer. If you're a Pale Ale fan, you will absolutely love this beer. I guarantee it.

12 oz.bottle: Pours a clear copper with a thin off-white head that diminishes rather quickly. Hoppy aroma has hints of citrus and floral. Flavor is malty with hints of grapefruit and caramel. Texture is creamy with a bitter finish. Well balance and very drinkable. A good brew for any pale ale lovers out there.

12 oz. bottle via trade with beastiefan2k - Pours a hazy amber color with a one finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is toasted malt and floral hops. Flavor is much of the same. Nice balance. A nice beer with a cool bottle label. Thanks Eugene.

Bottle sampled at the Warbird tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 2.19.09. Pours clear amber with a medium beige head. Balanced aroma of malt and Amarillo hops. Not getting as much Cascade. Malty flavor up front, giving way to hops and a thin finish.

Bottle… Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma offers notes of toffee, biscuit and nuts. Medium-bodied with stinging carbonation. Good balance – leans only slightly on the bitter side. Crisp, moderately bitter finish. Kudos to Headbanger for shipping the bottle my way!

Courtesy hopscoch. Pours a golden copper amber, with a medium off white head. Smells ofsome bready yeast, light citrus hops, and a good dose of caramel malt. Standard fo this style seemingly. The flavor is fairly simple but not bad as far as tast goes. mild hop presence, not overly bitter but only somewhat. Some grapefruit citrus is evident inth finish. Not bad.

A nice looking brew that pours a medium-dark copper with an ample, light tan head. Nose is surprisingly malty for an APA, and has a nice sweetness to it. Flavor is a nice balance of a moderate hoppiness, which fades into a lightly bitter finish, and the malty, caramel flavors from the nose. While not overly complex, this is a pretty good beer and very drinkable and, as such, it might make for a good "starter" APA for those crossing over from less hoppy brews.
