Commercial Description:
Warhawk Pale Ale is the best pale ale I've ever tasted. It is a truly "drinkable" pale ale. Warhawk Pale Ale is an American-Style Pale Ale, which means that it has assertive American hop character. You can really taste the Cascade hops. But what makes this a "drinkable" pale ale is the malt. We use premium 2-row malt and 3 specialty malts to give this beer the full malt complexity required to balance a "hoppy" beer. If you're a Pale Ale fan, you will absolutely love this beer. I guarantee it.

Appearance: Pours a clear, medium copper body with an off-white head. Smell: Mild aroma of toasted biscuits along with a floral, citrusy hop scent. Taste: Mild caramel maltiness provides a bit of sweetness to balance the floral, citrus hops and their moderate bitterness. Finishes fairly crisp. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: All in all, a decent APA.

Pours a clear light copper bronze with a clingy-lacing off-white head. Aroma has some good fresh grapefruity hoppy notes and mild toasty pale malt undertones. First sip reveals a good amount of sweet caramel malt and lots of fresh resiny hop flavor toward a crisp bittersweet finish. A pretty good APA.

Big frothy off white head. Hoppy but not to crazy. Could do without the big floral content. Grapefruit taste is not bad.

Bottle from Capone’s. Deep copper pour with 2-finger off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, piney wet hops, orange zest, and some black/white ground pepper. The flavor is caramel malty and hoppy, with some tangerine, floral, and berry notes. The palate is fairly hefty, very crisp, with a nice burst of finishing hopcitrus. This one is very well made.

Thanks to Bob, Michelle, and mostly my baby Jana for the 12th annual Indiana Microbrewers Festival today! On tap @ the fest. Nose of flowers, pine & perfume. The brew is a clear copper. The beautiful cascade resolves into a fully lasting off-white head that leaves good lace. The beer is bitter through & through with moderate acidity. The medium body is creamy & soft. The finish feels crisp.

Rating No. 1111. Bottle. Aroma is lightly hoppy with dark, slightly cellary (i.e. funky) malt, caramel, and the scent of chicken. Definite Cascades. Pours a clear orange with a creamy but non-lacing, slightly oily beige head. Sweetish, hoppy, floral taste. Lightly soapy medium-full body, mildly bitter with a great dose of funky biscuity malt. Dry, darkly malty aftertaste. Some nice lager qualities in this surprisingly good session - would love to have this again.

12oz bottle - 07/30/07 - Aroma of crystal malts, citrus hops and rusty water. Pours transparent copper with a solid medium head and good lacing. Flavor is syrupy crystal malts, caramel and some hops while retaining a mettalic finish. Palate is tart. Not my style of pale ale, that’s for sure.
