Grovlam (3198), Copenhagen, Denmark May 15, 2008 Bottle 650 cl. Large thick creamy head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Clear sparkling body with a golden color. Aroma of wet grass, yeast, mild caramel, dusty grain, hint of corn. Light bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Light to moderated sweet flavor with light bitterness. Sweet grassy like finish.
JonnyDr (107), , South Yorkshire, England Sep 29, 2008 Golden lager. Slightly sweet start with touches of hops. Nice citrusy middle tails off to bitter alcoholic finish. Gr0ve (1113), Oslo, Norway Sep 3, 2008 500 ml can. Pale golden and crystal clear. Slightly papery aroma with a hint of grass and citrus. Obviousy, from the aroma, a bit stronger than your average pale lager. Feels rich. Medium-bodied. Not that high carbonation level, but still crisp. Balances nicely, but this is definitely not a particularly interesting beer. Dull. Uses high alpha hops for bitterness. SHIG (1546), Oberoffligen, Germany Aug 23, 2008 Can: Poured a golden color with a fluffy huge white head. Aroma is grassy and earth dirt. Taste is rusty metal and grain, a bit watery. Magic_dave6 (4000), London, Greater London, England Jul 25, 2008 Can on way home from the 24hr shop. Taste is similar, brewing cereral, with grassy herbal hop character, fairly easy going and innofinsive. robertjm (239), El Cerrito, California, USA Jul 22, 2008 (Purchased at Babusha’s Russian Deli, in Walnut Creek, CA) Didn’t make much of a noise when the cap was popped, but it did create a large head. Amber body. Aroma actually reminds me of warmed ketchup (strange I know, but that’s what came to mind). Flavors clearly on the side of malt. Not really much hop character really obvious there. Not a bad beer at all considering its one of the Eastern European pilsners, which are usually very watery and taste all the same. The flavor leads me to believe it would hold its own against a really heavy curry.
