Feb 20, 2008 Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Deep golden with a medium short-lived white head. Earthy malt aroma with some dusty hops. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Ok balance with an initial sweetness followed by a faint but long-lasting bitterness. Not bad.

Feb 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours a brownish-gold color with a fluffy but quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma was heavy malt with just a hint of dark fruit included. Taste was malt, dark fruit, with a hint of honey and vanilla. Hops barely detectable, though there was a slight, crisp finish. Nothing spectacular, but I really enjoyed this.

Feb 7, 2008 500ml bottle. Gold with a loose cream head; slightly fruity aroma with a touch of apricot; chewy vanilla flavour and a slightly sour finish.

The beer is not complex nor impressive. What it it IS is mildly sweet aroma. Mild sweet taste with a hint of caramel and honey. Goes down very easy. Me Likey.

Jan 28, 2008 Canned. Aroma has grassy hops and sugary malts. Clear, copper coloured with a thin, white head. Taste is sweet with some hoppiness and sugary, caramel malts. For an European strong lager not that bad.

Jan 25, 2008 500ml can from my local East European shop. Its a smooth, moderately clean malty lager with some caramel notes and a fair amount of pleasant, not too excessive sweetness. There are soft, not unpleasant plastic notes from the high alcohol, and some faint chemical and mouldy grass bits which can either detract or add interest depending on your viewpoint. All in all I found this a reasonably enjoyable and interesting drink.

Jan 15, 2008 Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors, 500 ml bottle. Pours a sparkling, medium copper, with a thin but persistent white head. Fairly neutral aroma pick up very subtle hints of yeast and hard water - not unpleasant. Flavor has some caramel notes, some sweet cake mix notes, some honey sweetness and a touch of candy sugar and a peppery back end. Mouthfeel, very thick and smooth for the style. Not outstanding in any one area, but overall a very drinkable strong lager - lacks that industrial feel many of these seem to have.

Jan 14, 2008 Cereal malt aroma with sweet, amber syrup underpinnings. Slight metal in the aroma. Fair bottle, medium honey colored beer, clingy white foam. Moderately astringent and metallic, parched grain on the lips, alcohol is prominent. Not too sweet. Bocky. Vanilla, spargewater aftertaste, medium body. While not spectacular, this did well with cider braised cabbage and sausage. Market Square Liquors.
