| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 6, 2007 A little eggy is the aroma, otherwise a wisp of wheat and too much corn comes through - hard to tell what is best! Deep gold in colour and bright. The head is a decent thick pad, off-white, held in place by some well charged fine streams of bubbles. Big toasted malts in the mouth. Gritty, biscuity, sweet Cara and Munich malts dominate giving a pecan pie, nut-brittle and slight top-soil flavour to it. Body heaves, the carbonation is light, making this heavy on first mouthful. What you get at the front of the tongue is just the same as lies volatile in the aftertaste making this an ’all-orchestra-playing-no-sound-coming-out’ beer. Too much biscuity goodness for one afternoon. And the alcohol does hit home after a few swigs, it in fact becomes chemical. Not undrinkable, but there are certainly plenty of fish.... whatever. A little balance is needed in this!!! (50cL , 19/10/07, The Beer Store Morley) Adenila (958), Denmark

Nice amber look with an ok white head. At first the aroma was dusty hobby, but iit turned into a mix of malty caramel sweetness and alchohol pretty fast. The alchohol is very present in the flavor as well, somewhat balanced by the sweet malts, harsh and spirit finish. Fin (3473), Merton, Oxfordshire, England

Honey and corn on the nose, taste was quite malty, strength quite evident but reasonably smooth and not so harsh. demitriustown (703), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 15, 2007 500 ml bottle: Really corny and grainy aroma at first, some light citrus notes and overall some skunk on top of that. Appearance is a golden pour with a medium sized white head that lingers around for a while. Taste has a definite corn taste to it. no discernable hops, and maybe some hops mixed into it. It tastes like a corny Pilsener. But pilseners are much better than this. Overall, I think it’s sub-par at best and nothing really special. BelgianBeerGal (1318), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Poured a dark gold clear lager in the glass. decent 2 finger rocky cap...moderate retention...laces the glass well.
Aroma is very bready..some honey and light must ober light grassy-citurs tones...good nose for a strong Polish lager...better than Mocene.
Profile: Up front bready malts to chew on... some herbal botanical bittering...midpalate we get some unexpected complexity ( this is not a 2 dimensional lager) fruity tones, earthy grainyness, citrus bittering...finishes clean with the alcohol providing some spicey notes to the bready-fruity tastes...clean aftertaste. Slick bulky mouthfeel.
I must admit I like this far better than Okocim Mocene...more dinkable and rouner mellow soft character for a strong beer.
Well done and tastey when fresh.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 13, 2007 Bottle, a dark copper colour with a thin foamy head. Quite a hoppy aroma, with some sweet malt. A sweetish malt flavour on a quite a smooth palate. Quite an enjoyable taste, but the finish was a bit short and tart.
