Doggythedog (1076), Split, Croatia Aug 14, 2008 0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with heavy who brought it from Poland (thanks!)<br /> Poured a white medium to small head that didn’t vanish immediately on top of a bronze like dark gold-brown body pierced by lively, uneven cdarbonation. Dusty hop nose gets oily before delivering a shot of alcohol. The taste defies the name of the beer being, in fact, weak, dry, but loaded with alcohol again. Tiny acidic hop. Crappy maltiness. No, I don’t like it. The two I’ve had a few days ago beat this into a pulp.
gerzm22 (15), , Florida, USA Nov 28, 2008 Warka Strong had a unique and interesting taste. Its sweet flavor was not really what i look for in beers but it was pretty good. overall i purchased a 500ml for $1.50 which is a fair price. dm9831 (706), Monee, USA Nov 19, 2008 clear amber, minor white head that doesn’t linger, some lacing. nose of sweet malt, corn syrup. sweet grain/corn in the flavor with floral malts and a slight hoppiness. medium bodied, dry, bitter finish. a tad too sweet in flavor, but still an enjoyable brew. perhaps i am just too forgiving of eastern european beers, probably based on my years working for the CIA behind the iron curtain. but i may have said too much already....you can get single bottles featuring the portrait of kazimierz pulaski @ "binny’s beverage depot" in orland park. mjg74 (1869), La Mesa, California, USA Oct 28, 2008 Bottle from La Mesa Market. Medium brownish/amber upon pouring. Roasted malty aroma, with a little bit of lager type sweetness. Sweet and bready up front. Some roastiness. Taste reminds me of a bock, rather than a ESL. Liquidsunshine (7), Hurlstone Park, Australia does not count Oct 13, 2008 Deep gold in colour, the head was loose and reluctant. smells of caramel, brown leaves (how can you taste leaves?) and sultanas. Has a sweet/sticky mouthfeel, as others seem to mention a lot.
