Date: March 19th, 2008 Aroma : 2 Straw Cereal very light and not very impressive. Hops are Perfumey Grassy Pine lemony and not great. Yeast a sugary Dough and salty, wet Broth Miscellaneous flavors include Raisin Apple Charcoal Butter too much Honey Maple syrup Pepper Soured milk and Vinegar Appearance : 1 Head - none Head - Off-white and kind of sad. Head - Lacing - none. Head - Longevity is none. Body - Clear sparkling Density - thin Bottle conditioned - no. Body - medium Amber Orange Flavor : 6 Initial flavor - not a bad flavor, and it grows on you. Once you get over the alcohol and sweet cloy, you can settle into an above average beer. Sweet and a bit Sour while very Salty Finish - Flavor Sweet and a bit Acetic. Finish - Duration is long. Palate : 2 Body - Light to medium Texture - Oily and finishes Creamy. Carbonation - Lively Finish - Feel is Chalky Alcoholic - moderate to heavy Overall Score: 11 Comments: Not a bad beer, but a bit too smooth for me. A long aftertaste, and darkens in flavor over time, which is redeeming, but not by much. I liked: The overall flavor. The color was nice. The aftertaste is very enjoyable. I did not like: The cloying sweetness, the complete lack of head, and the simplicity of the components.

Can. Pours a golden, clear body with a white head. Hay, grain, malty sweetness and a whiff of canned pears in the aroma. Not foul, just boring. The flavor on the other hand, isn’t just good, there’s a alcohol touch to it that is rather uncomfortable, as well as grain and grass. Some fruityness and bitterness too. Thin in the mouth, and lightly fruity and bitter finish. Not a beer you would like to repeat. (080312)

500ml can of Warka "Uznany Smak" - 5.7% - from my local East European shop. A dirty lager. Damp straw and cocoa are the outstanding features. Not good.

Typical looking lager/pilsener. Smells a bit chemically. Texture is ok, not too gassy, fairly smooth. Flavour is a bit sweet but not dominating. Unfortunately the aftertaste is a bit tongue numbing.

Bottle: Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head that fades to a ring. There is a presence of noble hops in the aroma behind a light grainy, grassy nose with some weak caramel sweetness. The flavour is sweet like corn syrup with some grassy hops and a very sweet malt finish. There is a lack of hop bitterness and finish is like sweet cereal grains and refined sugar. Ugh. The palate is syrupy and slick with a not-so-dry finish.

Pours a thin head with a clear amber color. the aroma is very distinct in that you cna really smell the hops, and hint of lemon. There is creamy bitterness on the tip of your tounge. the aftertaste is a bit bready and grainy. It does have smooth texture for the ammount of carbonation that is in it. Not too pleased with the finish dry leaving my feeling nasty with hints of that bread in the back of my mouth.

Pours a clear golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma is corn and malt with some subtle hoppy notes. Flavor carries some corny and bready notes and finishes moderately dry. Light bodied, slick texture. Big carbonation.

Canned. Grassy aroma. Clear, golden coloured with a thin, white lace. Taste is sweet, has some grassy hops, some malts. Overall weak and watery.
