I picked up a single bottle of this at the Binny’s in Plainfield, IL, chilled it, and crefully poured it into my Choc Beer glass. Looked okay, a deep caramel body with a tan head... that vanished almost immediately. I don’t drink soda, so this was a challenge for me. It smelled like cola with something odd, presumably a pale lager, added. It tasted like cola with an off-ness in the finish. It’s difficult to believe that this came out of a German brewery.

Clear medium to dark red amber color (cola color) with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white cola head. Aroma is moderate synthetic cola. Flavor is moderate synthetic cola sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081225]

Bottle. This can hardly be called a beer. I have no idea why I got this. IT looked interesting on the create your own 6 pack. This was garbage. Pours like a coke would. Darker with lots of carbonation. I didn’t even drink the entire beer. Poured it down the drain. YUCK

This is not beer at all, it’s not even "beer" and therefore I cannot give it a rating. However, I will say that I like it. It’s like Pepsi or Coke without that cloying sweetness, and a bit of malty grain to it instead. Wish the alcohol was stronger; I think it would make a killer rum and coke. Dammit the more I drink of it the more I like this. Am I broken?

Pours a pale ruby with a fizzy coke colored head. The nose has some coke elements to it but mainly the grainy shitty underlying warsteiner character. God this makes me want to avoid the original. Flavor is god awful. Don’t want this anymore.

Looks like cola, only the head is slightly less fizzy. Brown color with a light tan head. I find nothing wrong with the appearance, actually wish some brown beers actually looked like this. Only catching cola aromas, perhaps a bit of lime, but that is about it. I’m looking but I am not finding any beer undertones. A sweet, yet somewhat stale cola flavor. Again a bit of lime. Add a shot of rum and you might have something with this one, otherwise a weak cola and no real beer qualities to be found. Actually nearly done with the bottle and I think I just detected a bit of malt in the linger. I have to say I don’t think I like to think about who they might be trying to market this to.

Deep garnet high lighted brown body with a light tan head. The aroma had some obvious cola and strange lime juice notes. There was also some hint of old, stale caramel candy. The taste had watered down cola along with some cheap, watered down limeade. There was also a little bit of Tootsie Roll in the finish.

Brilliant dark caramel cola color. Very little head, off-white. Smells like a whiskey and coke. Thick, sweet cola flavor. Very little beer character, some sulfur. Cloying.
