Feb 9, 2009 Aroma is must and a little sweetness from the malts. Flavor is full on Dunkel - seems like a pretty standard representation of the style. Notes of nuttiness, wood and a little smoke. Very light in the hop department - but still a nice dry finish. Pours auburn/brown with white head.

Feb 8, 2009 11.2 oz bottle from home reserve, gift six. Poured a clear, brown/walnut color, with an off white, bubbly head that diminished to a small ring pretty fast, leaving some light lace. Malty and sweet nose with a little toast, bread, nuts, and caramel. The taste is as mellow as the aroma, with mild caramel, toast and nutty notes. Just some light hop bitterness. It is what it is. Light bodied and quaffable. Okay.

Nez de grains de malt aux notes rôties, léger de sucre et avec des notes fruitées (raisins) ainsi que des traces de toffee sucré. Mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et légèrement croustillant ainsi qu une texture aqueuse et aux faibles notes crémeuses. Léger goût de grains de malt accompagné de petites notes fruitées (raisins) lors de lentrée en bouche auquel se rajoute une goût de malt très légèrement rôti avec des notes de sucre, de pain ainsi que de faibles traces de toffee sucré et de chocolat puis en finale on retrouve de faibles notes herbeuses (foin) ainsi que des petites traces fumées. Post-goût court-moyen et aux notes sèches, léger de rôti et avec de faibles notes herbeuses.
