Very little aroma, but what was there was chocolate-like. Thin body, sweet with dry finish. Muted taste of chocolate malt, little bitterness. Overall perception is a "clean dark lager" as stated. Very drinkable, but no real "wow" factor. Crafty07 (391), Florence, Kentucky, USA

But it’s hard to improve on what is said, "a...clean dark lager"
Yep, that covers it. Excellent session beer, you could do much worse. dkazuk (247), winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Pours a clear cola brown with a medium sized tan head that fades slowly. Smells very sweet and slightly earthy. Reminiscent of a cheap pilsener. The flavour starts off watery and malty then mellows out to a doughy biscuit taste laced with slight notes of earth and chocolate. Light bodied and a little watery with a sticky finish that brings you in for another sip. This beer has it’s high points. metsbcd (82), Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 5, 2008 I picked this one up in one of those make your own six packs. I had very low expectations, because the regular warsteiner that I tried once was not very good. This one however proved to be a decent beer. It’s dark, but surprisingly smooth. Not one of my top beers, but a solid one nonetheless. grikmok (92), Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Poured to an not-so-dark beer that had a off white head. Aromas of malts and yeast. Initial flavor of malts and wheat. Finished with slightly sweet roast taste. Not a bad beer. MoDog (915), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Poured from a 330ml bottle and served in a Bell’s dimpled mug. This beer poured a dark brown with some faint ruby highlights. A thick, foamy tan head slowly faded away, leaving a fair amount of lacing. The aroma of the beer was made up of biscuit, toasted caramel, and roasted nuts. The flavor included sweet, toasted malts, nuts, mild caramel, and bread. The mouthfeel was light to medium-bodied with adequate carbonation and quick, clean finish. Not bad, but not all that interesting either. oldpainless (35), fort mill, South Carolina, USA
