Taste is of light caramel and toffee. A hint of nut as well. Thin mouthfeel. I am a fan of the style, but not really this one. CIPS514 (77), Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA

It was rather enjoyable especially with the food selection. It was some sort of grilled chicken if I remember. ScoWRee (276), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 13, 2007 In a blind taste test I’d mistake this for a typical euro-pilsner or lager. Given the color I’d expect more body, but it’s kind of thin. mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 13, 2007 Better than I expected. Lots of bubbles, which I like. Bit of a metallic aftertaste. Bit nutty. Average hagisu (42), Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 10, 2007 Slight nutty flavour, the carbonation was a little to great for me. Not an overly complex beer, realativly straight forward dunkel cblado (146), Wisconsin, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 10, 2007 12 oz bottle. A definite nuttiness to it. However I was disappointed by the overall lack of flavor. There is a slight savory, almost cheesy aftertaste. All right for a cold autumn night I suppose. GlenVargas (120), El Paso, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 7, 2007 What’s the beef with Warsteiner Dunkel? I thought it was a really tasty, complex beer. It was definitely better than what I was expecting: another boring dark lager of only slightly better quality than Amber Bock. We were picking up a lot of flavors from roasted nuts to apple. Of course, it did seem a little slight in terms of the body and palate. At any rate, I found nothing much to complain about. Warsteiner Dunkel (bottle) is a tasty, attractive beer at a reasonable price.
