Dark brown pour with a decent tan head that recedes to a bubbly ring. Aroma is roast malts and caramel. Taste is fairly bland, malts and very bready. Hint of caramel in the taste. Mouthfeel is creamy and spritzy all at once, but somehow I feel like something’s missing. Just OK to me.

Dark amber color with light tan head. Aroma of caramel, honey and banana, quite light but still there and pleasant. Lightly carbonated. Bready caramel malt flavor. Some wheat, or other grain, pokes through with spices interwoven. Clean finish.

Deep clear brown pour with light tan head. Nose is moderately roasted caramel/toffee malt. The light spritzy mouthfeel reveals fairly decentcaramel and toffee malt sweetness and some light hop bite in the finish. Refreshing enough.

Not terrible but not fantastic. Lacks character could be more malty. Has a sweetness but more of a yellow beer sweetness. Weird.

Pours a deep brown with a tan head that quickly disapates into nothing. Taste of malt without much depth. 12 oz. bottle

Dark, but very clear pour with a white head. Aroma has caramel and a little fruit. Roasted flavor. Aftertaste is semi-dry.

Pours transparent dark brown with a light tan head. Nice strong malty aroma, some nuttiness. Similar flavor, mostly roasted malt, a little caramel and a hint of sour raisins. Clean and light bodied, decent but nothing special.

500ml can, pours dark clear ruddy brown with bit of white head, active carbonation but not extreme. Smells lightly of darker malt. Taste toffee grapes caramel and raisin. Lingering late note of nicely dring hop and just a hint of acidity. Right on keel as a refreshing Dunkel and one of the more palatable of the major-brand German beers.
