Aroma is roast malts and caramel. Taste is fairly bland, malts and very bready. Hint of caramel in the taste. Mouthfeel is creamy and spritzy all at once, but somehow I feel like something’s missing. Just OK to me. ewestern (198), Ohio, USA

Aroma of caramel, honey and banana, quite light but still there and pleasant. Lightly carbonated. Bready caramel malt flavor. Some wheat, or other grain, pokes through with spices interwoven. Clean finish. RAYBOY01 (1826), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2009 Deep clear brown pour with light tan head. Nose is moderately roasted caramel/toffee malt. The light spritzy mouthfeel reveals fairly decentcaramel and toffee malt sweetness and some light hop bite in the finish. Refreshing enough. JRHBrew (218), Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 2, 2009 500ml can, pours dark clear ruddy brown with bit of white head, active carbonation but not extreme. Smells lightly of darker malt. Taste toffee grapes caramel and raisin. Lingering late note of nicely dring hop and just a hint of acidity. Right on keel as a refreshing Dunkel and one of the more palatable of the major-brand German beers.
