wshores (57), Saltillo, Texas, USA Sep 11, 2007 This is a very smooth dark beer. Good drinking beer. A good way to start drinking darker beers tytoanderso (1382), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Sep 10, 2007 Bottle. Pours a nice rich brown with amber highlights. Lots of grain and noble hop notes on the nose. Flavor was fairly light with some roasted malt and hops. Medium to light bodied with good carboantion. Simple but nice. Ughsmash (3978), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Sep 3, 2007 Bottled, BB 3/1/08. Poured clear reddish iced tea brown with a creamy cap of beige head. The aroma picked up very sweet cocoa and darker bready notes with a light roast to it.. soft, sweet, and simple overall. Flavor had lightly-roasted and very sweet chocolate and caramel at the core with very light woody bitterness and a mild sour kick extending outward (in a good way).. long, sweet finish. Lighter-bodied with a nice flow to it.. good use of dry roast provided a refreshing finish. Not bad at all. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Dunkel

chadcs (76), Westminster, South Carolina, USA Aug 31, 2007 Bottle - Poured Dark Amber, not alot of aroma. chocolate coffee taste, not much bitterness. Would buy this one again. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Aug 30, 2007 On draft. Nice dark brown colored beer with no head. Aroma of sweet chocolatey malt and a little roastiness. Mostly sweet and malty with a touch of roast. It has the slightest crisp finish. I liked this one alot. TcTango (48), Tyler, Texas, USA Aug 29, 2007 Updated: Sep 5, 2007Bottle. Poured a dark brown and amber color with frothy off-white head that quickly dissiplates. Tastes of roasted malts, coffee, and a sweet herbalness that cleanses the palate. Great beer. llcooldave (309), San Antonio, Texas, USA Aug 16, 2007 Aroma was roasty and coffee like. Average carbonation, the head lasted till about 1/3 of the way into drinking. Flavor as almost a bittersweet chocolate with a touch of a sweet aftertaste. Overall I thought it a nice dark beer worthy of more.
