Warsteiner Premium Dunkel

Pours a dark caramel color with little head. Bread and hops comprise the aroma. Taste is bread and fruit with some hops at the end. Light bodied. Nice beer!

Pours a dark purple-brown with a moderate head which dissipates quickly. Lager-yeast and hop aroma, dark and fruity. Unmalted grain taste - grain-like and unrefined. Bready yeast, malt-beverage aftertaste. Low on carbonation, creamy body but thin. Overall a cheap half-complete beer.

Clear mahogany pour, with a red hue, the tan head was medium sized and bubble. Aroma is light, mostly sweet malts. The flavor is true to the aroma. There are hints of citrus and grass in the flavor. The Beer is light to medium bodied. Slower clean finish. I pretty enjoyable beer.

12oz. Bottle Warsteiner Dunkel poured a super clear dark mahogany. Dark ruby hues. A 1+ finger bubbly off-white head that quickly fell to just a little wisp along the top. The smell is good. I pick up dark fruits, some cherry. Along with some sweet bready malt. Smells pretty tasty. The taste isn’t as good as the smell. It’s doughy and slightly sweet up front. Then it’s all roasted and burnt malts which quickly turns to bitterness. I’m assuming from the burnt malts. Mouthfeel is average. It’s a little slick as it goes down the throat. Pretty watery though. Definately not it’s best point. The drinkability is just above average. It’s an easy drinker. Sampled 10/3/06

Pours a dark copper color with a tan head. Aroma is of slight roasted malts, and dark fruits. Not a very strong or complex aroma. Flavor is light of dark fruits, with a slight roastiness at the end. There was a little more from the flavor then what I was expecting. It’s an ok brew but nothing great.

Bottle: Dark amber body with plenty of tan head and some lacing. Malty aroma with metalic and faint floral notes. Enters creamy, with building roasted chocoalte notes. Some faint citrus notes mix in till a simple dry finish that just dies at the end. Good body with a fitting level of cabonation. Better than expected.

Eh, Not a big fan of this Dunkel. Palate and flavor doesnt seem to match the aroma and look to me.

slightly better than the original. darker and tastier. the smoky aroma hints at more flavor than it really has.
