Great on the palate... Good taste and goes down too easy. Keep the beer flowing! graham515 (423), Houston, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 7, 2007 This beer is commonly available in the US, but I thought it a fairly good example of a dunkel weiss, given a fairly limited amount of experience with the style.
Pours a copper-colored body with a good amount of what I’ll call "mainstream beer" head on it, which fades fairly quickly.
Aroma is faint, but is slightly sweet and a bit spicy (maybe cinammon?).
Taste is caramel malt, a touch of souriness, and a bit of oakiness. In my memory, this is fairly typical for the dunkel style.
Mouthfeel is not thin, but is not overpoweringly sticky. I found this beer fairly drinkable, and on those times when I want something very malty (I should add, in the interest of full disclosure, that I’m usually looking for something hoppy), I would not rule this out.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 6, 2007 Brown color with a light tan head that doesn’t last long. Good malty aroma and taste. millstadtguy (50), Millstadt, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 6, 2007 From the bottle, pours a medium brown color with a quickly fading head. Aroma and taste of roasted malts. Kind of reminds me of Michelob Amber Bock. Appearance is the best part of this brew - a lovely black that lets very little light through, capped by an inch of off-white head. Aroma is nuts and alcohol. Has a good feeling in the mouth, but the flavor lacks punch. You get caramel, nuts, and smoke. Not bad, but everything comes on too weak, and there aren’t enough layers "coming on" to begin with. Disappointing. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 1, 2007 Pours in nicely. Caramel color with a medium head. No distinctive taste, except for the few hops at the end. Nothing different, and liked other Dunkels over this one. GaltScat (195), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 30, 2006 The description "A light bodied clean dark lager" is very fitting. It pours dark with a carbonated looking light tan head. Aroma is hard to detect due to the smell of alcohol and carbonation. The taste is simple; malt, molasses, and caramel. The taste of alcohol and carbonation are too apparent to really enjoy the other flavors.
