Bottle - November 2006 - Thanks to GHawener. Pours a deep copper color with a nice, creamy beige head. Aroma is very slight caramel, malty. Taste is very toffee like, caramelly, almost like a scottish ale. Medium body, short aftertaste. Nice and warming.

Not much to smell here. Thin body and light flavor make it easy to drink. Not much malt character compared to other dunkels, though. Meh.

Great beer. A nice dark beer with a good mouthful. Creamy and smells of roasted malts. Very rich and a solid brew. Decent finish, though maybe a little watery for the style.

Very faint aroma, almost none. Flavor is a little light for a dunkel but whats there is good. Nicely balanced. Smooth, watery and refreshing. Not bad. A little more pricey than I would prefer to pay for a beer of this class at $7.49 a sixpack. Total Wine.

Bottle. Rich, dark brown color. Creamy head. Tastes and smells of roasted malt. Feels good on the tongue. One of my favorite German beers. Looks great in my Warsteiner glasses.

At Richmond Oktoberfest 2006. Excellent pour, lovely clear brown colour. Lasting tan head, typical malt aroma. Very drinkable, great palate and a surprisingly refreshing malt flavour. (!) Delicious.

Clear deep brown body with a small light brown head. Sweet dark malt and molassas aroma. Sweet dark malt flavor with some molassas and caramel.
