Pours a dark red or tan. Subtle aroma, lacy head. Flavor is slightly nutty, a little chocolate, with a good balance of sweetness. The body is very light with not too much carbonation. At $5 for a 12 pack, I could drink a lot of this.

Bottle 48F Lager Glass. Nice rich malty aroma, with sublte noble hops, a bit roasty very pleasent. Pours a dark red with a light tan head and decent lacing. The taste is a let down from the smell and look, just a touch of bitter roast, with very little hop presence, and very light on the tongue, really to light in my opinion. A touch of metallic twinge. LIght palate quite disappointing. Overall not too bad but to light on the tongue for a dunkel I think, but easily drinkable. A brew for the masses.

Bottle. Pours dark amber, though taste is very light. A bit sweet on first taste, nice hoppiness to the finish. I have had a pretty decent range of tastes from this beer, depending on freshness.

Dark ruby brown color. You can smell and taste the roasted malt, but pretty light bodied.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with a lacy off-white head. Aromas of nuts, hay and herbs. The body is light with soft carbonation. Taste is nutty, with hay, caramel and a bit of vanilla in the somewhat watery finish.

Nice label. Very good repeating beer. Nice dark beer with a transparent sight. Very smooth while drinking out of my steelers mug. Finish has a little lasting slight malt or hop.

I was really disappointed by this beer, so much so that I think it may have just been a bad sample. I used to drink this occassionally, before I started rating and trying various beers, and I liked it. But I’ll go with what I had tonite. Poured to a medium brown, with a very thin off-white head, that dissipated almost immediately, and left little lacing. Aroma was almost skunky, with just a hint of malt. Flavor was nothing special, and the finish was very dry. I will most likely try this one again just to give it a fair shot at redemption.

Moderately dark. Slight charcoal taste. Mildly sweet, but with a bitter aftertaste.
