I have seen it around a lot more lately, even at a wedding. Good beer. bobaidan (358), Farmington, Connecticut, USA

Flavor is mostly sweet, but not overbearingly so. Roasted flavors of chocolate. A mild hop bite helps to balance this beer. A bready aftertaste follows, and lingers long enough to make you want another sip. I enjoyed this beer very much. pootzboy (1042), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

Tapped a lustrous chestnut color....small off white cap lasts a while then reduced to a surface lace.
Good dose of Dunkel aromas: Sweet bread and cocoa some toastyness, light herbal sharpness.
Medium-light bodied, fair Munich malt spine, buttery mouth feel, smooth rounded character.
Up front you get to chew on some delicious dark Munich malt with its bready-sweet cocoa notes then the herbal spalter hops kick in to balance...mid palate there are some nutty tastes giving a sort of a liquid brownie when the cocoa malts meet the nut tones....medium finish...clean, malty, lightly bittered with herbal tones and a bready aftertaste.
A good solid commercial German dunkel...no surprises...om the light side for a dunkel but very drinkable and pleasing. TechMyst (166), Fox River Grove, Illinois, USA

Very light head, and very little to no aroma. The beer goes down really smooth. No lingering aftertaste with a really good flavor. GreatLibations (1441), Last Supper, Arizona, USA

Medium nectar w/ mellow residual effers. Flavors are full yet soft. A roasted malty sweetness w/ slight coffee bean and caramel fnished off w/ a nice bittering to leave you readyfor the next sip. I really enjoyed this brew. Good stuff.
