BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA Aug 22, 2006 Brown but translucent body with almost no carbonation or head. Interesting smell. Roasty and caramel dominate. Tastes very roasty with caramel and coffee notes. Very very good. Well balanced despite the presence of afformentioned flavors and scents. Pretty good for a lager. Saarlander (1577), Saarlouis, Germany Aug 20, 2006 Not an overpowering dark beer, even has abit of hop aftertaste, nice, easy drinking brew. MoreHead (355), Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA Aug 17, 2006 got at old chiago. again not sure if their product gets to much light, had a skunk twist to it. malt and sweetness, just off a little. cchubb (73), Minneola, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2006 On tap in a Kings pint. Small head, fell quickly to nothing. Not even surface bubbles. Too dark to determine clarity. A solid middle-of-the-road lager. Comparable to Mexican dark lagers, but slightly maltier. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Aug 11, 2006 Pours brown with very small off-white head. Nose is creamy, sweet, nutty. Flavor is as well, too sweet for my taste, and a touch of off flavor - old bottle maybe? Rather musty, not as clean as I expect a dunkel, and some fruity flavors as well. zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Aug 9, 2006 (draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Dark brown with red highlights and a puffy brown head. Aroma is slightly malty with some vegetable hints. Taste is sweet and malty with some caramel at the end. A bit watery but not a bad beer if you want to have a few. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 5, 2006 Better than the regular lager but still not worthy enough to give it a decent rating. The malt and seem to be slightly inferior. An a beer to avoid if you can Nightfall (645), Athens, Greece Aug 5, 2006 Bottle. Dark brown color. Medium head that doesn’t last long. Malt, caramel, spices aromas. Caramel, malt and tofee tastes. Very enjoyable beer.
