Jul 14, 2006 Six pack bottles sampled. Pours brown with a small quickly dissapating white head. Aroma of caramel malts, spices, toffee, and chocolate. Flavor is caramel, toffee, chocolate, and slight bitter hops. Thin watery body, but drinkable.

Jul 5, 2006 In Weimar, Germany. Bottle. Poured dark brown with a medium head. Aroma of malts dominate. Lighter tasting than it looks. Decent mouthfeel. OK, but not outstanding.

Jun 27, 2006 Dark brown with nutty chocolate aromas that are not backed up by as much flavour as you’d expect. Pretty thin malt character, and thin in the mouth overall actually. Definitely not my favourite dunkel.

Jun 25, 2006 Loved this one. Dark brown, translucent, minor white head. Delicious taste of roasted coffee, balanced with a wheaty mellowness. A terriffic beer for all seasons. Not heavy as to be a bogging-down beer.

Jun 20, 2006 Pours dark brown with almost no head. Very flat with decent taste. I actually enjoyed this beer because it is very different but has a chocolate/ toffee taste with a strange buttery after taste.

Jun 19, 2006 Poured a mahogany clear color with a cream colored head. Sweet roasty malt aroma and flavor. Flavor had light chocolate and toffee notes. Nice clean finish.
