Oct 21, 2003 Dark brown in colour with a thin white head. Fragrant cherry/cranberry aroma with a perfect amount of maltiness. Light-bodied; Mild flavour, a bit of sweetness in the taste. Aftertaste mild as well, not showing much character. Overall, smells and looks much better than it actually is! I had this pint on draught at the Old Toad in Rochester, New York on 20-October-2003.

Mar 9, 2003 Draft version. Colour is a dark ruby-brown with on off-white head that leaves some nice lace. Aroma is very mild with a hint of malt. Mouthfeel is creamy, but on the thin side. Flavour holds sweet caramel malt with some light hop bitterness in the background as it finishes. Pleasant, but nothing special.

Sep 26, 2005 12 oz bottle consumed In Wings in Myrtle Beach SC. Pours brown with a short offwhite head. Aroma is brief coffee and small hops. Flavor is very similar. A bit of chocolate as well. Palate is thin and watery as expected from a dunkel. Drinkable but not worth seeking out in the future.

Jun 5, 2005 A nice, light dunkel that could be enjoyed like a session beer. Pours a decent brown with a decent head. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, and the taste is a bit subdued but that doesn’t stop this from being a good middle-of-the-road beer. Nice hints of yeast, nut, and caramel are in the flavor, just not as prominent as in a higher quality dunkel.

Oct 15, 2007 330mL bottle. Deep brown color. Khaki, foamy head. Aroma of rich malts. Sweet aroma followed by grassy hop scent. Roasted malt flavor. Very sweet toffee. Watery body dominates the late hitting finish. Not much bite... mostly sweet malts. Could use more of a roasty malt body. Forgetable.
