12 ounce bottle from a Farm Fresh in Virginia Beach, VA. Pours a clear cola color with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malts, slightly grain, with faint dark fruit notes. Taste is roasted malts, raisin, caramel. Thin bodied,

Light brown - poured with a small short head. I got way too much sweetness in this, almost like someone added high fructose corn syrup. Not horrible, but not all that great either.

Mixed reviews on this one. No strong aroma and the beer wasn’t as thick as I was expecting. Enjoyed it more on draft than I did in the bottle (the latter, which took on a slight grassy taste). I was left wanting more from this German dunkel, but would have one again.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear brown color dunkel with a medium foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of light sweet caramel malt is pretty neutral. Taste is very bland with light caramel malt with not much character. Very bland and boring version of the style and not something I am about to buy again anytime soon.

Reminds me of a weak English brown...sweet and nutty with a heavy malty aftertaste...I couldn’t drink 4 or 5 in a row though...

On tap. I thought I had rated this, so I am lucky I took down some notes. Color was darkish amber. Flavor was chalky, roasted and bready. I couldn’t pick up much aroma. Better than expected.
