The aroma is malted wheat with a touch of soap. The flavor is earthy and flowery hops, cream, burnt sugar, some leaves, and a decent malty body. Not too bad. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 17, 2005 Bottle at Maker’s, OKC: poured dark brown with a small off white head. Another beer served too cold in Oklahoma. But that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. After warming up, lightly roasted malt and hops became apparent in the aroma. Mild malts in the flavor with a short sweetness. Lightly roasty. A pretty decent beer. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA

Somewhat sweet finish with a light body. Clean tasting, but lacks any real complexity. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

Flavor is clean with a slight sourness and a distinctive yeastiness. Some bitterness but not very full bodied. This is not bad for a mass produced European beer. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
