| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2005 Beautiful dark mahogany with a small, quickly disappating eggshell head. Lightly roasted nose with an additional aroma resembling saaz hops. Taste is of roasty malt, caramel and some hops; not much else really. Moderately sweet, not much bitterness detected in the aftertaste. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. No lacing or head retention. Overall, drinkable but nothing special. Fair malty aroma that unfortunately lacks strenght and complexity. Its malty/hoppy taste is well balanced and carries roasty hints. Ends with a decent bitter/roasty finish.
