Jun 13, 2006 Pours dark amber with a thin, mostly receding off white head. Aroma of toasted malt, light bread, and caramel. Taste is sweet chocolate and caramel malt, with a bit of chewiness for added body. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation. A clean and drinkable dunkel.

Nov 28, 2008 Opens to a loud dud. Brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of mild skunk, grain and toasted malt. Taste of caramel and some mild dark malts but mostly tasteless and bland with a dry finish.

Dec 12, 2007 Canette de 500 ml acheté au LCBO d’Hawkesbury (Ontario), bu la même journée (12/12/07). Brune acajoux, pas de collet. Arome de malte légèrement torrifié, notes de patite fruits des champs. Goût de malte faiblement roti, un peu de réglisse. Pas trop impressionante!

Dec 20, 2007 Updated: Feb 22, 2009Pours a clear brown with copper hue, beige head. Aroma of some sweet malt, some chocolate, and some dark roast. Flavor is very much the same. Mouthfeel is light-medium body, high carbonation. Overall, kinda light in the flavor depatment and somewhat watery, bu not half bad....Easy drinker.

Jan 29, 2005 Beautiful dark mahogany with a small, quickly disappating eggshell head. Lightly roasted nose with an additional aroma resembling saaz hops. Taste is of roasty malt, caramel and some hops; not much else really. Moderately sweet, not much bitterness detected in the aftertaste. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. No lacing or head retention. Overall, drinkable but nothing special.

Dec 11, 2005 On tap at Pub Italia, Ottawa. Nice dark brown body with a thin off-white creamy head. Fair malty aroma that unfortunately lacks strenght and complexity. Its malty/hoppy taste is well balanced and carries roasty hints. Ends with a decent bitter/roasty finish.
