Fair malty aroma that unfortunately lacks strenght and complexity. Its malty/hoppy taste is well balanced and carries roasty hints. Ends with a decent bitter/roasty finish. Light malt and a hint of hops. Agree with frankenkitty on the touch of vegetal flavor. Strykzone (1475), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 24, 2007 This beer pours a cola color with a light head that didn’t last long. Aroma is thin but has both malt and hops. Mouth feel is thin but clean. The beer itself is pretty straight forward. It is mostly malty with some nuttiness and hop undertones. Like so many macro brewed beers this one seems to be more concerned with having no negative aspects than it is with having positives. IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA

Medium nectar w/ mellow residual effers. Flavors are full yet soft. A roasted malty sweetness w/ slight coffee bean and caramel fnished off w/ a nice bittering to leave you readyfor the next sip. I really enjoyed this brew. Good stuff. dchmela (1440), Orlando, Florida, USA

Aroma is malty, caramel malt and hint of chocolate. Taste is light and malty with hints of chocolate. Finishes lighter than most dunkels, very drinkable. I am not a huge fan of Warsteiner, but i would drink more of this. SamGamgee (1436), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Draught at Old Town Tavern for the most random find of the year award. A pleasingly creamy head tops a clear brown body and leaves light lace. The aroma is subtle but has a nice malt and bread touch. The flavor is sweet and has a kiss of hops in the finish. Light bodied with prickly carbonation. Lacks the rich malt flavors of my favorite dunkels, but it is still enjoyable.
