Sep 18, 2006 Pours a dark amber brown w/ medium semi creamy froth. Aroma of fresh leathered malt and hay. Medium nectar w/ mellow residual effers. Flavors are full yet soft. A roasted malty sweetness w/ slight coffee bean and caramel fnished off w/ a nice bittering to leave you readyfor the next sip. I really enjoyed this brew. Good stuff.

caramel malty nose. good brown pour, wattery body, and mouthfeel, slightly hoppy, but quite malt flavour, meh, run of the mill dark lager, i was really let down when i saw hop extract in the ingredients list.

Sep 10, 2007 Bottle. Pours a nice rich brown with amber highlights. Lots of grain and noble hop notes on the nose. Flavor was fairly light with some roasted malt and hops. Medium to light bodied with good carboantion. Simple but nice.

Jan 23, 2003 Dark brown, decent head. Very thin, weak mouthfeel - I was immediately disappointed when it hit my tongue. The dark malts were nice. Drinkable but unremarkable.

Aug 5, 2003 deep cherry wood or mahogany color. decent head with big fat bubbles, but pretty short-lived..leaves a nice ring though and a tiny bit of lacing..moderate carbonation. aroma is of mildly smoky malts (reminiscent, to me, of a smoked turkey at thanksgiving). flavor has a slight smoky quality to it and a hair of nuttiness as well....not at all bad.

Oct 6, 2007 Aroma is a sweet lightly roasted malt scent. Color is a deep bright amber with very good carbonation and a nice head. Taste light, crisp and bitter. Starting with a light body it goes down crisp with a light roasted flavor. Finish comes on with bland malt bitterness backed by a very light roasted taste. It is lacking in flavor and the first couple of drinks are not too good.
