Smells faintly of fruit and skunkyness. Tasted a bit of caramel. It was just ok. Panzuriel (995), Westerville, Ohio, USA

Malt in the nose, but not much else. In a session, with a meal, very good. Unremarkable overall. Quality but without distinction. Props for being easy to find. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 30, 2005 Bottle: A burnt sienna color with a quickly diminishing light brown head. Through my August allergies, I noticed up on aromas of sweet malts like polished shoe leather with a thin coating of sorghum. The feel is thin and pleasant. The taste isn’t spectacular, but not bad either. It is refreshing and has a wheatty aftertaste. It seemed to have lots of carbonation. I would prefer a little more in the initial aftertaste. It is like you have to wait about 15 seconds before you are invited to take another drink. I like the invitation right away and then if you resist, to have it followed by the lingering aftertaste. Dunkels are to light for my tastes, but I can enjoy one every now and then. urbnhautebourg (974), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

While the body is a bit thin, the toasted flavors come out rather nicely to make for an enjoyable (though perhaps not thrilling) dunkel. Soonah (970), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 15, 2008 Poured somewhere between dark copper and brown. The head was white to off-white and was one-finger tall. Quickly dissipating, it left no lacing. The aroma was mild chocolate, sweet malt and even a bit of grape soda. The flavor was light chocolate, roasted, nutty malt and again a tiny bit of that grape soda. The mouthfeel was actually nice and the finish was clean. Drinkable if unremarkable. ghawener (964), San Salvador, El Salvador
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2006 Bottle: A darker version of the original Warsteiner, falls bit short on overall taste and I would expect more body from a dunkel, too light.
