Dark brownish black, with a red hue through the light. Puffy almond head that quickly dimishes, but most likely because of the burger I was eating at the time. Smells mildly roasty and light, with a crisp clean lager-ish quality. Flavor is light and roasty. Very clean, well done. Aftertaste is very mild, leaving little flavor to be wanting more, but still a very good pint. I'd take another. skaughty (621), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 19, 2004 On Tap. Copper/Brown with miniaml head. Nothing distinct in the aroma (good or bad). Tasted a little thinner than other Dunkels, but the lacking bitterness was welcome for me. Although lacking sophistication of any fruits or spices, this is a quality brew that is quite drinkable and clean. punkrkr27 (620), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Clear, dark brown pour with a small, off-white head. Smells nutty with toasted caramel, faint banana, and a little vegetal. Flavor is toast, almond, hay, and a slight noble hop spice on the finish. Thin body with lots of carbonation. nigos (620), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England

This aroma is horrible what I can only describe as sour yuck, mixed with barn dust also throw in some mild spice, I don’t like this aroma one bit. Taste seems fairly average but not really all that good but its not putrid like the smell, it’s mostly bready with some noticeable alcohol and I swear I taste a touch of vanilla. Mouth feel is crappy to soft thin and flat, that’s all I want to say about it. Overall this beer is disappointing smells like crap, taste ok and is easily forgettable. Done while playing cards with Nat, beercronic and Leah." tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma was mostly malt, maybe with a wheat undertone, and taste was rather much the same. Mouthfeel was rich and solid, and despite the aforementioned malt, the finish was not overly sweet. A pretty nice beer, and I’m good for more. atpayne (615), Zionsville, Indiana, USA
