Sep 12, 2004 Dark brown body with a tan head. Malty aroma and flavor. Noticed wheaty/barley flaovrs and it had a bit of a chalky feel to it as well. Finishes medium and fairly clean.

Oct 5, 2004 Dark brown with a slight white head. Semi sweet, with a burnt sugar taste and a malty aroma smooth body and flavour. Pretty decent!

Mar 13, 2003 Pours a dark reddish brown with a thin white head. Flavor is roasty and malty. Slight caramel and chocolate malts are noticable. Very smooth and easy to drink.

Mar 25, 2008 Single bottle from Total Wine in Jacksonville. Pours a nice medium brown color with virtually no head to speak of. Aroma is nice roasted malt. Taste is also roasted, nice finish. This is better than expected.

Nov 13, 2009 TAP: brown pour, nice off-white head. Aroma is caramel and dark fruit, taste is malty, sweet, bread, hints of fruit. Tasty stuff.

May 26, 2007 Bottle. The aroma is sweet and toasted malt, black color with a thin beige head, flavor is good like toasted malt and some caramel or something else sweety, little too bitter.
Cerveja preta, com aroma de malt torrado e doce, espuma bege e fina, sabor doce tipo caramelo, pouco amarga.

Dec 11, 2003 POured a rootbeer color, little color. ALmost no head,. Aroma is slightly skunked, floral. Flavor is very watery, not living up to the dark color of this one. Wouldn't recommend it.

Nov 15, 2006 Bottle - November 2006 - Thanks to GHawener. Pours a deep copper color with a nice, creamy beige head. Aroma is very slight caramel, malty. Taste is very toffee like, caramelly, almost like a scottish ale. Medium body, short aftertaste. Nice and warming.
