Thin mouthfeel though , somewhat smooth. Has a clean refreshing aftertaste. A decent dunkel just needs more oomph. wcampbell (577), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 28, 2007 Pretty good. A little too sweet though. Lightly roasted all malt profile. Low carbonation and very drinkable. It does not have much of an aroma. auderale (572), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 5, 2004 Bottle. Nice dark brown with tan head. Sweet malty aroma. The taste didn't quite live up to the appearance and arome for me. It was a bit watery and didn't have all that much flavor. It was ok I guess, but certainly not outstanding in any way. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 30, 2008 The only reason I bought this is cuz Beer magazine called this the beer of the month. Obviously they wuz smokin crack.
This has a cross between a very mild chocolate malt and hints of skunk aroma. It is watery as hell and was almost drain pour.
Avoid at all costs. I’ll have to try to pawn these off to people I work with. thehoff (569), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 21, 2003 Dark cola color to this no headed beer. Smells like water and malt. This really isn't a very good beer. The taste is slightly bitter and hardly that, caramel, water. Not a great dark beer at all. If Warsteiner is the Bud Light of Germany, the Dunkel must be the Amber Bock. Unimpressive beer to say the least. Germany has so much more to offer. Wow, tangy (sarcasm). dhurtubise (568), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2003 Delicate but big malt flavour. Perfect bitterness for balance. A delicate hop bouquet is evident not only in the aroma but also in the flavour. markas101 (567), Fargo, North Dakota, USA
