Nov 1, 2009 On tap @ Fins Rehoboth-Dark brown pour w/a moderate head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavors of roasted malt, Caramel, bread dough, & candied sugar w/a little spice. Smooth, easy drinking session brew, not real complex, but nice. Full malt finish.

Aug 16, 2007 Aroma was roasty and coffee like. Average carbonation, the head lasted till about 1/3 of the way into drinking. Flavor as almost a bittersweet chocolate with a touch of a sweet aftertaste. Overall I thought it a nice dark beer worthy of more.

Apr 16, 2008 Deep dark brown pour with a healthy head that dissipates quickly. Strong appearance accopmanied by an equally strong aroma. Sweet and malty with caramel and molasses just slightly offset by hints of floral hops. Definitely medium bodied, if not medium to full. Smooth on the tongue, clear of any biting hoppiness. Taste of roasted malt dominates with hints of sweet fruits but overall very mild.

Sep 22, 2008 I like this one. Its very light in taste for a darker beer. Also, it is very malty. I’m glad a found a bar that has something a little different so I know this will be my fall back there.

Apr 10, 2008 Good beer. I had this after tasting Hobgoblin and it didn’t quite match up but wasn’t too far. A dark and smokey taste, not as nutty or fruity. A good rich beer full of flavor.

Oct 16, 2009 The aroma is somewhat sweet with hints of malts. The flavor is small but enjoyable, a little bit of dark chocolate and a little bitter, just a tad. Definilty on the lighter side of dunkels.

May 13, 2009 500 mL Can. Deep brown body with a foamy pale beige head that settles to a foamy ring lacing the sides. A very inviting aroma of rich sweet malts with a hint of treacle; it says "good beer!" with an astringent note about it that is likely coming from the hops. Rich dark malts make up most of the flavor with a syrupy innuendo, floral and nutty notes in the aftertaste, and a sweet dark malt finish. Gutes Bier!
