I had this after tasting Hobgoblin and it didn’t quite match up but wasn’t too far. A dark and smokey taste, not as nutty or fruity. A good rich beer full of flavor. dimenhetfield (202), , Florida, USA

The flavor is small but enjoyable, a little bit of dark chocolate and a little bitter, just a tad. Definilty on the lighter side of dunkels. Papillon (177), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

Deep brown body with a foamy pale beige head that settles to a foamy ring lacing the sides. A very inviting aroma of rich sweet malts with a hint of treacle; it says "good beer!" with an astringent note about it that is likely coming from the hops. Rich dark malts make up most of the flavor with a syrupy innuendo, floral and nutty notes in the aftertaste, and a sweet dark malt finish. Gutes Bier! JMerritt (1321), Macomb, Illinois, USA

A nice color and aroma, and flavor that is just as nice. Some hints of dark coffee on the backend of the aftertaste. Nice. beerhandy (195), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
