| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Clear dark brown with a thick long lasting white head. Very grainy aroma. Smells almost like honey wheat bread. Tastes like a hearty bread with some sweetness and hops. Simple but good. fredthecat (206), Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 13, 2009 it poured dark red with a little head. aroma is just a little bit of dark smell, warm malty, kind of weak. the taste is like a little chocolate, malt, very nice slight sweetness level, and walnuts. tastes smooth and creamy with a dry finish. this one is nice and at the very back of the taste it still has that warsteiner yeast taste.. hahah i love warsteiner, this was very affordable and definitely worth it StoutOrDeath (119), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2001 Had this one tonight at Oktoberfest. Of all the beers I had to choose from, I had 3 of these. Very nice. Almost a chocolatey hint to it. I will definately seek this one out.
Re-rated because I just keep liking it more and more. jezmez68 (334), Chesterton, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 29, 2002 Decent, Michelob Dark-style beer from Germany. Actually this is what Mic Dark wants to be when it grows up. Smooth, not overpoweringly heavy like dark beers. It’s a dark beer for wussy-dark beer drinkers like myself. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 5, 2003 deep cherry wood or mahogany color. decent head with big fat bubbles, but pretty short-lived..leaves a nice ring though and a tiny bit of lacing..moderate carbonation. aroma is of mildly smoky malts (reminiscent, to me, of a smoked turkey at thanksgiving). flavor has a slight smoky quality to it and a hair of nuttiness as well....not at all bad. kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2005 On tap at the local Old Chicago, Coralville, IA. The body is a very dark brown with some red showing through. The aroam had bubblegum and some fresh grass. There was also a little bit of hay. The taste is slightly dry with some light tobacco and hay. Finishes with funky mushrooms and bread. I like this one as a session beer.
