Had this one tonight at Oktoberfest. Of all the beers I had to choose from, I had 3 of these. Very nice. Almost a chocolatey hint to it. I will definately seek this one out. Re-rated because I just keep liking it more and more.

Decent, Michelob Dark-style beer from Germany. Actually this is what Mic Dark wants to be when it grows up. Smooth, not overpoweringly heavy like dark beers. It’s a dark beer for wussy-dark beer drinkers like myself.

deep cherry wood or mahogany color. decent head with big fat bubbles, but pretty short-lived..leaves a nice ring though and a tiny bit of lacing..moderate carbonation. aroma is of mildly smoky malts (reminiscent, to me, of a smoked turkey at thanksgiving). flavor has a slight smoky quality to it and a hair of nuttiness as well....not at all bad.

A very light German Dunkel. Not bad for the price, but a very simple flavor on the palate.

6/21/03, draft, Berlin. Thick, dark brown brew with a large, creamy, tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma of peat, smoked malts, hops and brown bread. Flavor is rich roasted malts, earth, assertive hops and an astringent finish. Full bodied with an immediate mouthburst of carbonation.

I just like this beer. It has a nice color and malty aroma. Very drinkable.

Smooth, heavy on the palate, and slightly effervescant with a lingering after taste. Perfect for a quick swig or more studied enjoyment.

This beer was quite enjoyable and accompanied food well. Good color and smooth.
