The light palate contrasts with this beers dark brown colour. Not a let down, but nothing specatacular. Blatz King (150), Whitewater, Wisconsin, USA

If you’re looking for a very drinkable beer that isn’t pilsener style, this is a good pick...otherwise, stick with something a bit more distinguished. MOboy (446), Kansas City, Missouri, USA

Distinct cocoa. Hard to find a mass-market dark German brew in a brown bottle. Mouthfeel was substantial, but didn’t become weighty after 3 or 4. Nothing earth-shaking, but this is a good value at $7/6 in the local grocery store. BillKismet (1945), Seattle, Washington, USA

Nutty and brown malt accented aroma. Good ratio of munich and brown malt in the body lending a nice nuttiness atop a malty backing. Medium-bodied with a beery underpinning. Moderately dry and bitterish nut finish. Not bad at all. A respectable budget buy.
