Dark chestnut brown with a tan head. Good aroma of roasted malt and nuts, taste is a bit watered down vs. the scent, but still has a nice smooth malty body. Finishes pretty quick - not as much of a lingering aftertaste as you’d expect from a good Dunkel.

I actually liked this a lot, and I'm not sure why. Easy to drink dark beer. Worth the $2 pint.

Slightly chocalatey aroma. Malty flavor with hints of roastedness. Smooth and very easy to drink. Buying this by the liter is dangerous.

Nutty and malty aroma is quite sweet. Clear chestnut brown coloured body is topped by a low cream coloured head that recedes rapidly to a thin partial cover and ring. Nutty and sweet malts with light bitterness. Never cloying or sticky but tasty and refreshing. Light medium body with strong effervescence that stimulates the tip of the tongue. Tulip glass. Allowed to warm from fridge temperature. Bottle (BCLS at 39th and Cambie, Apr-07).

Very drinkable German import. Pours very dark brown and clear with little head that dissipates to a very thin to nonexistant line of foam. Hop aroma is lightly floral but is too mild to be noteworthy. Very malty and grainy, an exceptionally smooth mouthfeel with no hint of bitterness or roughness. Some coffee and caramel like undertones. A good well rounded and drinkable session beer.

This is a very tasty dunkel. Aroma of roasted malt and hint of bitter coffee. Pour was beautiful. Deep dark brown with a puffy 1 finger off white/tan head. Taste was nice and light but with a strong roasted malt flavor. A hint of toffee in the aftertaste that leaves a bitterness after the swallow. Easy to drink and delicious. I may use this as a beer to convert BMC drinkers.

On tap at the Oasis. Nice smooth caramel flavor with hints of chocolate. Worth trying repeatedly.
