I actually enjoyed this beer because it is very different but has a chocolate/ toffee taste with a strange buttery after taste. LinusStick (1855), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Pour was beautiful. Deep dark brown with a puffy 1 finger off white/tan head. Taste was nice and light but with a strong roasted malt flavor. A hint of toffee in the aftertaste that leaves a bitterness after the swallow. Easy to drink and delicious. I may use this as a beer to convert BMC drinkers. JohnnyZ (81), USA

But it’s hard to improve on what is said, "a...clean dark lager"
Yep, that covers it. Excellent session beer, you could do much worse. littlecarp (128), Redding, California, USA

Pours a deep redish brown, just like cola, with a small light-brown head. Smells mostly of malts and sweet things. The taste is very big on sweet roasted malts, with some other sweet elements thrown in, I almost tasted some berries in there. It’s somewhat well rounded off by some bitterness in the finish, but I found that to be a little weak and inconsistent, though the roasty malt body is pretty tasty. Not a very big mouth-feel, with low to medium carbonation. Not bad over-all, I’m sure there’s plenty of better examples of this style, but I’m glad to see the LCBO seems to alomost be expanding their horizons. A good ’go-to’ beer as it’s always very well priced and well worth it.
