Pours dark brown with almost no head. Very flat with decent taste. I actually enjoyed this beer because it is very different but has a chocolate/ toffee taste with a strange buttery after taste.

This is a very tasty dunkel. Aroma of roasted malt and hint of bitter coffee. Pour was beautiful. Deep dark brown with a puffy 1 finger off white/tan head. Taste was nice and light but with a strong roasted malt flavor. A hint of toffee in the aftertaste that leaves a bitterness after the swallow. Easy to drink and delicious. I may use this as a beer to convert BMC drinkers.

On tap at the Oasis. Nice smooth caramel flavor with hints of chocolate. Worth trying repeatedly.

Just your basic excellent German dunkel, nothing exotic or extraneous, even the commercial description is simple six word sentence. But it’s hard to improve on what is said, "a...clean dark lager" Yep, that covers it. Excellent session beer, you could do much worse.

Great burnt taste, lively on the tongue...very refreshing. Nice dark color, head diminishes quickly.

Bottle. The aroma is sweet and toasted malt, black color with a thin beige head, flavor is good like toasted malt and some caramel or something else sweety, little too bitter. Cerveja preta, com aroma de malt torrado e doce, espuma bege e fina, sabor doce tipo caramelo, pouco amarga.

500ml can into a tall German Lager glass. Pours a deep redish brown, just like cola, with a small light-brown head. Smells mostly of malts and sweet things. The taste is very big on sweet roasted malts, with some other sweet elements thrown in, I almost tasted some berries in there. It’s somewhat well rounded off by some bitterness in the finish, but I found that to be a little weak and inconsistent, though the roasty malt body is pretty tasty. Not a very big mouth-feel, with low to medium carbonation. Not bad over-all, I’m sure there’s plenty of better examples of this style, but I’m glad to see the LCBO seems to alomost be expanding their horizons. A good ’go-to’ beer as it’s always very well priced and well worth it.
