It looks delightfully regal, its bottle proclaiming it the Queen of the Beers in German. Its flavour and palate are full and satisfying, making this a beer of substance, and, quite possibly, my all-around favourite German beer. The Dunkel (dark) Warsteiner is better than the Premium Verum. lesmis (1), USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 25, 2003 The beer has a great flavor. Nutty with a hint of roasted nuts (barley) that is pungent to the nose. Very smooth and is the best with real german meat loaf. Nice dark color similiar to the bocks that I drink. starfireming (309), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Lasting tan head, typical malt aroma. Very drinkable, great palate and a surprisingly refreshing malt flavour. (!) Delicious. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 25, 2005 Poured very dark brown with small bubbly head. Leaves nice lace. Aromas of floral hops, herbs, citrus, grass yeast, and alcohol. Flavor is bright, crisp and clean, with complex undertones of grain, citrus, noble hops and fruit. Nice dry finish. Was a perfect complement to my Christmas duck. bbrock81 (221), Le Mars, Iowa, USA
