In Weimar, Germany. Bottle. Poured dark brown with a medium head. Aroma of malts dominate. Lighter tasting than it looks. Decent mouthfeel. OK, but not outstanding.

Average in its color with a normal brown. Aroma is soft with a light touch of malt. The flavor is weak with minimum notes of caramel and malt. Not memorable dunkel in mu opinion.

Dark brown with a slight white head. Semi sweet, with a burnt sugar taste and a malty aroma smooth body and flavour. Pretty decent!

Nice dark brown color with an off white head. Has a slightly sweet roast malt aroma, mayhaps a touch of nuttiness. Very smooth to drink. No overwhelming flavors to speak of. Malty. Crisp finish.

Pours dark brown with red luster, minimal head that dissolves quickly. Aroma is roasty with a hint of sweetness. Initial taste is rather bland, with some roasted and caramel taste. The body is somewhat thin with about as much carbonation as a soda. The finish is rather bitter but ephemeral. I prefer to drink it cold from a bottle when I’m looking simply to quench my thirst but I’m not in the mood for a pale beer. Otherwise, nothing spectacular.

(bottle) dark, coffee colored...wheaty, roasted with a full mouthful yet still dry and drinkable... but then again after each beer rating it just seems to get easier and easier to throw ’em back.

Not bad.. I will drink again.. I have to, I bought a 12 pack.. <G>.. This was a little too nutty for me, but still a bargain at $10 / 12 pack AND a $2 mail in rebate!

this is quite an acceptable brew indeed. it has a decently sweet toffee taste. it has acceptable body and is refreshing. the carbonation is good - foamy yet bubbly. the beer has a rye/barley quality that is simple honest and also carries a fruit type essence. the finish is is slightly bitter and flavorful (though a bit watery). extra point for being simple yet good! this beer is quite a looker deep brown with orange and red highlights.
