A little watery at first, but carbonation and texture seemed to improve as I drank. Interesting aroma. Nice and roasty with sweet black licorice notes. Surprisingly refreshing and clean and rather easy to drink. boto (1345), Granby, Connecticut, USA

It doesn’t linger long. There was no real lacing to it. The color is a ruby-tinged brown. The aroma was OK, although not too strong. notes of molasses, caramel, maybe a hint of roastiness. Slightly less than a medium body. The taste was slightly sweet with notes of the caramel and molasses. A hint of hops for balance. Not very exciting, but very drinkable. ampp (152), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Flavor is clean with a slight sourness and a distinctive yeastiness. Some bitterness but not very full bodied. This is not bad for a mass produced European beer. urbnhautebourg (974), Annapolis, Maryland, USA

While the body is a bit thin, the toasted flavors come out rather nicely to make for an enjoyable (though perhaps not thrilling) dunkel.
