May 23, 2003 Updated: Jun 1, 2004Appearance is a darkish/red. Flavor is clean with a slight sourness and a distinctive yeastiness. Some bitterness but not very full bodied. This is not bad for a mass produced European beer.

Oct 3, 2002 Here the trademark Warsteiner graininess works to better effect. While the body is a bit thin, the toasted flavors come out rather nicely to make for an enjoyable (though perhaps not thrilling) dunkel.

May 11, 2004 Dark brown/ruby red color with a nice looking whispy head and some good lacing. The aroma has some light dark caramel malts along with some fig and some saaz crispyness. The flavor is vaugely watery with some of the roasted malts coming through but still light like a lager. Not too bad. I’ll see how the rest of this sealed six pack is.

Jan 5, 2004 Bottle. Nice dark brown with tan head. Sweet malty aroma. The taste didn't quite live up to the appearance and arome for me. It was a bit watery and didn't have all that much flavor. It was ok I guess, but certainly not outstanding in any way.

Feb 20, 2008 pours dark brown with a two finger fluffy brown head. aroma is toasted caramel malt with a little hops. has a light to medium body with good lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but more toasted malt than caramel. the flavor is also a bit stronger with some grass and hay. as it warms the aroma catches up to the flavor ratings wise. not bad i guess.
