Dec 25, 2005 Poured very dark brown with small bubbly head. Leaves nice lace. Aromas of floral hops, herbs, citrus, grass yeast, and alcohol. Flavor is bright, crisp and clean, with complex undertones of grain, citrus, noble hops and fruit. Nice dry finish. Was a perfect complement to my Christmas duck.

May 22, 2006 Delicious. Tastes of hops, roasted coffee, chocolate, and spices. Scents of a lager (malt, hops) and chocolate. Very unique and drinkable.

Jun 22, 2007 12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours amber with a average fizzy white head, which lasts for most of the beer but leaves no lacing. The aroma is light with slight caramel notes. The flavor is of light molasses and of caramel. There is also a very slight hint of oak and slight butterscotch. The body is light to medium with a watery texture and lively carbonation.

Jan 23, 2004 Good with a steak or something of the like. Very simlilar to the premium verum. hints of roasted malt perhaps. Not great but certainly good.

Apr 30, 2006 Wow! What a Treat! Superb beverage. As the bottle quotes ’life is too short to drink cheap beer’. A must have with it’s dark tones and soothing character.
