| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 7, 2007 What’s the beef with Warsteiner Dunkel? I thought it was a really tasty, complex beer. It was definitely better than what I was expecting: another boring dark lager of only slightly better quality than Amber Bock. We were picking up a lot of flavors from roasted nuts to apple. Of course, it did seem a little slight in terms of the body and palate. At any rate, I found nothing much to complain about. Warsteiner Dunkel (bottle) is a tasty, attractive beer at a reasonable price. AWS9 (232), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 18, 2009 Can. Pours nice dark brown, with a foamy white head that recedes into a fine lacing. Primarily a malt aroma, with a hint of Euro-style hops. Sweet maltiness, with some hops, nut, toastiness. A little hollow in the finish. Solid. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Draught at Old Town Tavern for the most random find of the year award. A pleasingly creamy head tops a clear brown body and leaves light lace. The aroma is subtle but has a nice malt and bread touch. The flavor is sweet and has a kiss of hops in the finish. Light bodied with prickly carbonation. Lacks the rich malt flavors of my favorite dunkels, but it is still enjoyable. fraternie (710), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 21, 2003 Thin, dark body, little head. Aroma is fruity and sweet--grapes and plums. Malt body starts sweet, a touch sugary with very light notes of caramel. Finishes lightly bitter. A bit thin and bland overall but has some character.
