Malt body starts sweet, a touch sugary with very light notes of caramel. Finishes lightly bitter. A bit thin and bland overall but has some character. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Draft at Gustav’s, Portland, Or. Aroma of dark roasted malt. Deep brown color with a dissipating off-white head; medium body. Sharp carbonation. Noble hops match the malt. Pretty tasty. In the finish the malt tends to dominate, but the hops build and persist. Very good dunkle in a light sort of way. Nice bitter into the finish. Dragonblaze99 (349), Greater London, England

Aroma is light, mostly sweet malts. The flavor is true to the aroma. There are hints of citrus and grass in the flavor. The Beer is light to medium bodied. Slower clean finish. I pretty enjoyable beer.
