Jun 21, 2003 Thin, dark body, little head. Aroma is fruity and sweet--grapes and plums. Malt body starts sweet, a touch sugary with very light notes of caramel. Finishes lightly bitter. A bit thin and bland overall but has some character.

Aug 7, 2005 Bottled. Pours a dark brown color. Light roasted malt aroms. A hint of some sourness as well. Light, somewhat watered down flavor. Drinkable, but not great.

Dec 20, 2007 Draft at Gustav’s, Portland, Or. Aroma of dark roasted malt. Deep brown color with a dissipating off-white head; medium body. Sharp carbonation. Noble hops match the malt. Pretty tasty. In the finish the malt tends to dominate, but the hops build and persist. Very good dunkle in a light sort of way. Nice bitter into the finish.

Jul 30, 2004 When I took a sip, I wondered where the rest of this beer was but upon further tasting , I learned to appreciate. Much lighter than I expected but was not disappointed.

Mar 5, 2007 Clear mahogany pour, with a red hue, the tan head was medium sized and bubble. Aroma is light, mostly sweet malts. The flavor is true to the aroma. There are hints of citrus and grass in the flavor. The Beer is light to medium bodied. Slower clean finish. I pretty enjoyable beer.
