Lightly roasted nose with an additional aroma resembling saaz hops. Taste is of roasty malt, caramel and some hops; not much else really. Moderately sweet, not much bitterness detected in the aftertaste. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. No lacing or head retention. Overall, drinkable but nothing special. Brown beer with a light head, with hints of roasted malts and maybe some caramel in there. If I find a place that sell it I might pick it up. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Bottled, BB 3/1/08. Poured clear reddish iced tea brown with a creamy cap of beige head. The aroma picked up very sweet cocoa and darker bready notes with a light roast to it.. soft, sweet, and simple overall. Flavor had lightly-roasted and very sweet chocolate and caramel at the core with very light woody bitterness and a mild sour kick extending outward (in a good way).. long, sweet finish. Lighter-bodied with a nice flow to it.. good use of dry roast provided a refreshing finish. Not bad at all.
