Sometimes it has a great head, and sometimes it seems to have no head at all. It doesn’t have much of an aroma at all, but it has a nice smooth, rich, and almost chocolatey taste. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 9, 2009 Aroma is must and a little sweetness from the malts. Flavor is full on Dunkel - seems like a pretty standard representation of the style. Notes of nuttiness, wood and a little smoke. Very light in the hop department - but still a nice dry finish. Pours auburn/brown with white head. IrishBoy (2719), Bakersfield, California, USA

Tastes of grains are apparent. Pretty clean finish. Good for a dark, but not impressive. Is so hoppy I’m confused to a point. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA
