I bought it once by accident; but as the great Bob Ross would have said, it was a "happy accident". I’ve had the pleasure of drinking this dunkel in both bottles and on tap. Needless to say it is best on tap. It has a rich full body and a nice dark hue to it. A friend of mine’s father is head of a local german heritage club here in Youngstown, and he believed so much in this beer that he fought tooth and nail with the council to approve this be sold there. The council was against it because it is a relatively new brewery, but after tasting it they could not deny that it deserved a place. This beer goes down silky-smooth and sits well in the stomach. One of the best dunkels you can purchase in the states; definately worth the price. k2 (146), USA

Not to strong soft aroma of medium roasted malts, some sweet flowers were noticed as well. Taste - this beer was fairly light, a bit creamy, and overall very pleasant. It great to drink this kind of brew on any occasion because of its simplicity. Simple but great. This beer proves that one beer does not need to be overly complex to be great! mattduling (64), Fairmont, West Virginia, USA

Readily available, and much more classy then the average "run of the mill" beers. Good refreshing beer. brunowbe (8), Ohio, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 27, 2007 Not quite as strong or bitter tasting as I thought it would be, especially for a darker beer. Although a good beer, I’m not sure it merits the almost 10 dollars per 6 bottles (for some reason the 12 pack is only a couple of bucks more, but hard to find). Overall a tasty delight.
