Jun 11, 2005 Big fan of this classic. Great sweet, malty taste and aroma to this brew. It has a soft fnish and doesn’t leave any bitter aftertaste.

May 4, 2008 A dark brown, almost cola brown, definitely inviting. Aroma is strongly malty with a hint of caramel. Flavor is well-rounded, not complex but delicious and satisfying, malty with just a hint of hops and a whisper of sweetness. Rather smooth and pleasant.

Aug 24, 2005 Not bad. Warsteiner Pilsner is better but hey, good beer. I would buy it again. The carmamel flavor adds alot to the flavor.

Aug 27, 2005 If you like bitter beers, this is not quite what you’re looking for. This beer is very smooth and flavorful (chocolate and a bit nutty). I had it at the local bar and decided to buy a 6-pack later in the week. It’s not bad (regardless of what its overall percentile tells you. Try it out.

Jun 27, 2007 Not quite as strong or bitter tasting as I thought it would be, especially for a darker beer. Although a good beer, I’m not sure it merits the almost 10 dollars per 6 bottles (for some reason the 12 pack is only a couple of bucks more, but hard to find). Overall a tasty delight.

Feb 17, 2008 Warsteiner Dunkel. Where do I begin? I bought it once by accident; but as the great Bob Ross would have said, it was a "happy accident". I’ve had the pleasure of drinking this dunkel in both bottles and on tap. Needless to say it is best on tap. It has a rich full body and a nice dark hue to it. A friend of mine’s father is head of a local german heritage club here in Youngstown, and he believed so much in this beer that he fought tooth and nail with the council to approve this be sold there. The council was against it because it is a relatively new brewery, but after tasting it they could not deny that it deserved a place. This beer goes down silky-smooth and sits well in the stomach. One of the best dunkels you can purchase in the states; definately worth the price.
